In 2003, Tokyo Electric Power Company (since renamed and referred to herein as “TEPCO”) invested and began participating in the Umm Al Nar Power and Water タイカジノ, located in a suburb of the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi. The company running the タイカジノ, Arabian Power Company owns natural gas thermal power generation facilities with an output of 1,550MW and water desalination facilities with a daily volume of 428,000 tons. The plant is running well and the タイカジノ continues to maintain high profitability.
JERA succeeded to this タイカジノ from TEPCO Fuel & Power in July 2016.
